Profile
COL Clifford (Cliff) White is a senior Australian Army officer with more than 20 years' experience across combat units, communications, information and communications technology, satellite communications, electronic warfare, space capability, systems engineering, and Defence capability development.
Throughout his career, he has held command, operational, engineering and capability management roles across Army, Defence acquisition and sustainment organisations, Defence Space Command, industry, and international military partnerships. His experience includes the delivery and integration of complex Defence capabilities, network modernisation, satellite communications, and the introduction of emerging technologies into operational environments.
COL White holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Electronics and Computer Systems) from Queensland University of Technology and a Master of Electronics and Systems Engineering (Electronic Warfare) from Cranfield University. He has also held senior leadership roles with Inmarsat (Viasat) and Thales Australia and lectured in postgraduate technology and MBA programs in Canada.
He is currently the Director of the Land Network Integration Centre (LNIC), responsible for the integration and assurance of Army's digital and networked capabilities. In this role, he also leads the assurance and governance of Artificial Intelligence within the Land Domain, ensuring AI-enabled capabilities are delivered safely, effectively, and in support of Army's operational outcomes.
