Colonel Phillip Ellsmore is the Director Land C4ISREW within Army Headquarters, responsible for the development, integration and modernisation of the land force's Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Electronic Warfare capabilities. Since joining the Australian Army in 2004, he has served in a variety of command and staff appointments across Army, Special Operations Command and Joint Capabilities Group. His experience spans capability development, cyber operations, communications systems and major capability acquisition programs. Colonel Ellsmore has deployed on Operation SLIPPER and has led the delivery of significant digital and network modernisation initiatives that enhance the Australian Army's ability to operate in increasingly contested and data-rich environments. In his current role, he focuses on accelerating the adoption of emerging technologies, strengthening interoperability with allies and partners, and delivering the integrated digital capabilities needed for future land operations.
