Joel O'Halloran is the Managing Director of STACK Infrastructure Australia, a leading data centre platform that evolved from Hickory Data Centres, which he co-founded in early 2021 in Melbourne. Under Joel’s leadership, the company secured strategic investments from IPI Partners (now Blue Owl Capital Inc., NYSE: OWL) and SKIP Capital in 2022, marking its transformation into STACK Infrastructure Australia.

Since its inception, Joel has been instrumental in shaping the business strategy and driving its growth. Today, STACK Infrastructure Australia employs over 150 staff and has delivered 180 MW of data centre capacity at its flagship MEL01 campus in Truganina, Melbourne. An additional 252 MW is currently under development, including 864 MW scheduled for delivery within 18 months to a global technology leader in Victoria.

Before founding Hickory Data Centres, Joel held senior executive positions at major global technology firms including Fujitsu, IBM, and NCR. Throughout his career, he has led large-scale operations across Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, and Singapore. Joel began his professional journey in the software industry in the mid-1990s after graduating from Victoria University in Melbourne.
