Simon Dugina leads AWS cloud adoption for the Victorian public sector with over 20 years of experience spanning technical IT, enterprise software, consulting and cloud leadership. He drives whole-of-government cloud adoption and regularly engages at executive and ministerial levels on digital transformation, cybersecurity policy and AI. He holds an MBA with a major in Cyber Security from Swinburne University of Technology and is currently completing a Masters of Artificial Intelligence at La Trobe University. His work today centres on AI adoption and technology modernisation across government agencies, aiming to help solve the toughest problems in transport, housing, justice, emergency services, and improving the citizen experience. He champions AI-native working and AI-driven leadership as foundational to how modern organisations should operate.
He serves as Deputy Chair of the AIIA Victorian Council, contributing to industry policy on AI regulation, digital skills and technology strategy, with prior leadership experience at TechnologyOne, RXP Group, Pitney Bowes and various Local Government authorities in Australia.
